Société Générale was able to achieve such performance with Kalistick's Quality Cockpit.

Société Générale Securities Services, a leader in the issuer services market, has launched a campaign for improving a strategic application. This application, which is accessible over the Internet, already processes more than 50% of stock market orders and therefore represents a major risk. This success is reflected in an ambitious development plan with growing quality requirements

For this, Société Générale used the Quality Cockpit, the 1st SaaS platform for controlling and optimizing Java and C# development quality. "We have to start by knowing its exact problems to be able to act effectively. It is impossible to act on what we don't know," , explains Didier Lajarrige, IT Manager for Issuer Services.

     Kalistick Cockpit
For this, the Cockpit:
  • Identifies the application's quality challenges based on six themes: maintainability, reliability, changeability, security, transferability, and efficiency.
  • Automatically analyzes the application's source code and binary files.
  • Takes more than 300 measurements to identify the improvement themes.

The results, shown on dashboards, provided a clear and understandable view with complete qualitative and quantitative analyses.

To allow everyone involved with the project, from management to the technical teams, to share this view of the situation, a concrete action plan was developed and executed.

Kalistick's Quality Cockpit determines the rules, helps the team to implement them, and automatically verifies that they are followed. "To ensure that new developments meet the quality needs of the application, Kalistick agreed to set up a quality contract with the team," continues Didier Lajarrige.

Within less than four months, Kalistick's Quality Cockpit had already exceeded its objectives by improving performance, speeding up development, and better controlling testing and acceptance because technical problems were resolved upstream.
