A new vision for software testing
|
With the new version of the Cockpit,
Kalistick gives to test teams a new visibility on the
applications they have to validate and the risks associated with the modifications made.
At each
delivery, the Cockpit automatically analyzes the entire application
(code, config, web pages, database, ...), produces a full quality audit (quality of code, architecture standards, Unit tests, ....) and detects changes
made since the last release.
This information is correlated to assess the risk of regressions and failures, and to provide answers to the following questions:
- What is the quality level of the application and
which functional modules are at risk?
- Which features has been impacted by the
changes and should be tested?
- What are
User Stories to revalidate ?
- What changes can affect the deployment (modified configuration, third party libraries, etc..)?
This approach gives to test teams a visibility on key informations to effectively guide their
testing strategy toward sensitive issues and to avoid unexpected regressions.
For critical patch that should be quickly installed, in an hour the Cockpit analyzes the potential impacts to
estimate risks and to enable the fastest possible deployment. |
